Recession by the art historian
Mrs. Barbara Boxleitner

For me, Mr. Johannes Hoffrohne is a surrealist par excellence,

or I might say a surrealist of the highest perfection.

The dream does not remain a pure muse, it is not only a source of artistic inspiration, it becomes a transcendent world of experience and the key to a new consciousness.

His lucid dream work opens the door to other dimensions, worlds, beings and concepts of time with which he consciously communicates and interacts -

With these dream trips, our world connects to other dimensions.

These are great experiences, the likes of which I have never known.

In my eyes and in my feelings, his works are "relics"

Why do I say relics...relics are earthly remains of venerable, often holy, persons who, like a magnifying glass, focus the glorious rays of God's grace (cf. Thomas Aquinas)...

This image of bundling, in his case bundling of consciousness experience, drew me to the works as "relics" To denote his dream trips.

Mr. Johannes Hoffrohne paints and forms no dream stories, but bundles the over-realities
